About Matt Gallagher
I studied Computer and Electronic Engineering at Trinity College, Dublin and then went on to complete a Masters in Music and Media Technology. My Master’s thesis was on the topic of ‘Automatic Musical Feature Extraction’ which used auto-correlation techniques to extract tempo and pitch data from high fidelity polyphonic audio. I currently work as an applications engineer for a well known audio technology company in the San Francisco Bay Area, California. (All views expressed on this site are of course my own and do not represent those of the company I work for).
